Please advise: Extra 5K water

So a5 a result of less people corning out to the SK for the rescheduled date... we have tons of extra water and granola bars left. Celli is arranging for the LG to take the granola bars to United Way or something like that but i wanted to check in with you guys before we co the same with the water, With everything with Flint water right now, | wanted to be extra cognizant of the optics af us donating a ton of water anywhere. Should we just danate the water to a food bank here locally and/or should the LG be involved? | was worried about the optics of our administration donating water anywhere right now, Here's the water we have left: 30 full cases (24 battles each} of water Approx. 3 cases worth of loose water battles 19 2.5 gallon jugs of water Laura

DRAFT releases for Flint grants, other Distressed Cities grants

Team, Here are pair of drafts for Tuesday regarding the Distressed Cities grants. One highlights the work in Flint and would be released in conjunction with the event, the other would come from Treasury shortly afterward. I’ve made some changes to Terry’s draft — thank you, Terry! — and prepared one for Flint. We can approach Mayor Walling or EM Ambrose to add a quote, if you think that would be appropriate. Thank you for taking a look. Dave Dave Murray Deputy Press Secretary | Executive Office of Governor Rick Snyder [email protected] xxxEND_PAGE:executiveofficeemails20_b1505_3767_3767_1

Flint water talking points and background

Good evening team, Terry Stanton, working with Brad and Jerry Ambrose, drafted talking points and background on the Flint water issues. If asked, Terry suggests the governor say: Residents deserve clean, safe water and EM Jerry Ambrose, his management team and the DEQ are working to ensure that...and that the State will be a resource where and when possible, as we have with other issues, such as public safety. Terry said he cannot speak to other “requests” in the Mayor’s letter (dated 1-18), which seek waivers, Federal and State funding, etc. He said the city is committed to addressing the issue and in fact, has taken numerous steps (with guidance and/or approval from DEQ) to date.
