They have a regular schedule of reporting information to the Treasury Department and would meet when the need arose. The state Treasurer regularly meets with the Governor and provides updates. In the cases of the city of Detroit and the Detroit Public Schools, Governor has meet directly with the emergency manager, or the emergency manager would be included as a part of larger meeting with the Governor and members of the administration focused on Detroit’s challenges. The Governor was not part of the discussion about the switch to Flint River water. It’s important to note that Virginia Tech professor Marc Edwards and other experts have said that the problems did not arise from the change of the water source, but that the new source was not treated with the corrosion control materials. That transition is the subject of a study by the Governor’s Flint Water Task Force, and it would be inappropriate to get a head of the task force’s work. The group’s report is expected next month. Hi Dave, Terry and I did speak after 1 got your email, and he was very helpful from the treasury department's perspective. I'd still like to talk to you or someone on the governor's staff, given that emergency managers are appointed by the governor and serve at his pleasure. I'm interested in knowing how Gov. The state's top priority right now is making sure the people of Flint immediately have access to safe, clean water, and that includes reaching every home to supply water, filters, repiacement filter cartridges and water testing kits. The administration is also working with independent experts on testing of the water and will continue to work with them going forward.

Dave... We generally don't comment on litigation, especially lawsuits we have either just received or have not been able to review.
