Oy. Hi All, Here are the next tasks on our DEH Flint Coordination Team (Martha named us!}) collaboration to create the Child EBL Services Database: 1. Hotlink to the draft data dictionary £:\£84 fnvestigat a. Bobis checking and adding nurse case management variables (CM). (DONE) b. Need to check EBL Investigation (El) variables. (Ask Courtney) c. Need to finalize the data dictionary (Review by Junaid) 2. Need to determine the common variable ID between the CM and El spreadsheets a. Based ona discussed between Martha and | — the suggestion is using the HUD EBL ID for a home. 3. Need a list of questions that we want to be able to answer with this database. a. Kory will talk with Linda, Wes, Courtney (already talked with Martha) about the questions they want to be able to answer with this database. Kory will compile the questions and send around for review. c. Compare the questions to the variables in the data dictionary and consider if we have the correct variables to answer our questions. (TO BE DETERMINED — how and who is best to do that — may be a group effort) 4. Hallo, twas locking at the DEQ request for water analysis form anc | have samme questions. There are two analysis on the sheet for lead. To sarnpie for just lead is reads the required unit is 36ME ancl test code is CPB. To samipie for iead and copper for corrosion contrat the required unit is S6CC and the test ence is CCUB. Gn the instructions sheet it reads that the sample collection method for {lead onlys using required unit SOME which does not seem appropriate for what we are trying to accamplish but the sample collection method for lead/copper for corrasion control using required unit 36CC seers to be more appropriate for an EBL situation. We need to be clear on what exactly we are going to be doing as far as water sarnple collection and analysis so here are some questions that hapefully you can answer. xxxEND_PAGE:deq15_b598_2115_2119_2 What test are we doing just lead or lead/eopper? What sample collaction method 36ME or 36CC? 36 ME (Lead Orily} involves selecting clean faucets and removing attachments such as aerators and dishwasher connectors, ete...36CC (Lead/Copper for corrosion control} is using minimum of G hours of no water flushing and collecting first draw. 3. How many water samples should we collect at each locatian?-example kitchen faucet 1° draw and one minute flush and ter minute flush? Gr fust one first draw? 4. How many sampling sites within the residence? Kitchen faucet, bathtub faucet, bathroom sink faucet, exterior spigot? Should this be up to the investigator? This is the DEG forrn for water sampling. {Tis cornplicated but it must be used. So we will have our staff or the contracted staff cornplete the form for the farnilies. My thought at this point will be that our staff or the contracted EBL investigators will take the water sarnpies. This can be accornplished by having thern arrive first thing in the morning before cooking, cleaning begins, Or by flushing the water 5 minutes, then waiting the minimum of 6 hours and then collecting at the end of the day. Of course not all dust, xrf and soil sampling along with questionnaire and education will take 6 hours. So the EBL investigator may need to take ajunch break or do paper work or go to the second site and return. We can see how this warks.
