Aerator Fact Sheet

Hi Linda: Attached is the aerator cleaning fact sheet that was requested by Jim Henry and Genesee County Health Department. It’s been reviewed and approved by Kory Groetsch, Jen Gray, Courtney Wisinski, and Hilda McShane at GCHD. I’ve filled out the mandatory publication form, and put it in Kory’s mailbox to go up the signatory chain per Angela Minicuci’s instructions. However, | wanted to also pass it along to you to forward up the IC chain for review simultaneously, should you so choose. On 12/14, Jason Holben confirmed that the publication forms for the Phosphate fact sheet and Bath Time poster were on Angela’s desk awaiting approval. - Michelle ><{{{'> wun michigan.aov/eatsafetish <'}}}>< Michelle Bruneau, MA Project Manager & Health Educator Michigan Department of Health & Human Services 201 Townsend, 4th FI Lansing, MI 48913 Direct: (517) 335-8984 xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0444_1798_1799_1 001799 Tall free: 1580064896942 Fax: (17) 335°8800 xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0444_1798_1799_2

RE: Updated Summary

Very nice summary. The héading for WIC Children needs to be bumped to the néxt line and | agrée with Eden that we should put water issues toe the top of the list under Reducing and Removing Lead Exposure. Could we also revise the 3 sentence in that bullet to read: “The lead in household water usually comes from the service line that connects your house to the water main or the plumbing in your house, not from the local water supply.” Lead service lines are the biggest lead contributor and are ewned in part by the water supply, so it’s incerrect to fay all the blame on household plumbing.

RE: Report

e Percent of children with confirmed elevated BLLs: The number of children less than 72 months of age with a confirmed elevated blood lead level 25 g/dL divided by the number of children less than 72 months of age tested for blood lead, multiplied by 100. Also referenced as “Case Rate.” That could be a valuable reporting number. Give some perspective to the scope of the issue... ><{{{'> www michiqan.cow/ eatsafefish <"}}}>< Michelle Bruneau, MA Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Project Manager & Health Educator (517) 335-8984 bruneaum @michigan.gov

Flint Results One Sheet

Please find the document attached. Still debating if the map is a good idea because it’s really too small to do what | was imagining on it. My thought it was could color code it to reflect changes in blood level tests, but Kory brought up the good point that the colors would then be changing from week to week depending on testing rather than trends. Could replace it with a table of zip codes and tests by zip code if they decide that’s important or something else... Executive Summary topics are placeholders. Can update to capture what they want... ><{{{'> www michigan.gow/ eatsafafish <'}}}>< Michelle Bruneau, MA Project Manager & Health Educator Michigan Department of Health & Human Services 201 Townsend, 4th FI Lansing, MI 48913 Direct: (517) 335-8984 Toll free: 1-800-648-6942 Fax: (517) 335-8800 bruneaum@michigan gov xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0739_2594_2594_1
