Our chief put it very well below in terrns of DEQ’s message. Here's the play: Flint did a lousy job cormmiunicating this to the public at the outset via the media. The public is unsettled about the situation. Flint announced a public meeting to talk about the situation. On the day of the meeting, Flint Mayor sends a letter to you guys, essentially saying that hecause the of EM, this is your problem. Importance: High See below, There’s a public meeting in the city of Flint tonight regarding the ongoing challenges with their drinking water system. The public has concerns ~ some the result of the city’s poor comraunication efforts, some (1 suspect) the result of faiks who stir the public fear pot for political leverage. City of Fint. Drinking water violation. Seems the extensive treatment they've had to use on the flint River water is having its own set of side effects. Last month | learned they have retained Kelly Rasaman to help them deal with the messaging around this problarn. Nobody on City of Flint’s team will be surorised to get this letter.
