FY15 Ending Lab Fund Balances

Hi there. Looks like we finally have the seen the last of the large revenue/expenditure transactions in our lab funds! Ending Fund Balances (Carry forward into FY16) e Fund #0108 - Environmental Lab Fees: $434,832.58 e Fund #0652 —Water Analysis Fees/Drinking Water Lab Fees: $246,738.96 1 xxxEND_PAGE:deq15_b585_2082_2083_1 e Fund #0651 — Public Water Supply/Lab Certification Fees: The fees for this one were not sufficient to cover all costs — we were short by $29,820.83, which was covered by revenues from the Drinking Water program. RE: DHHS samples

Just as a clarification, this for the casi of the analysis and noi te be confused with the cost of the actual taking of the samples. That is to so say it does not cover wages for the person pulling the samples. George L. RE: DHHS samples

HI George & Linda. We are in the process of setting up an account number for this purpose and will forward it asap. Linda, we will most likely need to pay the Invoice here in DEQ as we hold the appropriation for the 51M GFE/GP. Does that work for you? Caral/Kiroy/George, this will be set up to one of the 3 new DWE account numbers that hathy W. is setting up for this purpose, Anastasia M. DHHS samples

Anastasia and Kirby, | just got done speaking with Linda about a home in Flint that will be undergoing a review by DHHS to determine the source of lead exposure in the home. DHHS will be pulling the water samples and for the purposes of this investigation DHHS is the client. There will be 6 samples total 3 first draws and 3 flushes. These samples should be paid for using the funding source that was set up for Flint residents. Please note that these samples are a sort of Hybrid and do not fit into the norm of the regular Flint samples. They should have the regular paperwork that would go with any routine samples and they should also get the regular routine 1 Liter bottles that would be used in everyday situations. We will evaluate this process afterwards to determine if there is a better way to handle future investigations that DHHS might do. Anastasia, Can you please provide the coding information to Linda so that DHHS can include that on the paperwork? Kirby, DHHS will be delivering these samples to the DEQ Lab. Please expedite these samples and let me know when the results are complete. | want to have a discussion about the results with Linda before the reports are released. Thanks to all, George George L.
