R 325.11302 Submission of plans and specifications for construction or alteration of waterworks system;
guidance material.
Rule 1302. (1) For type | public water supplies, before the construction or alteration of a waterworks system, or a portion
of a waterworks system, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the department by a public water supply or its
designated agent for review, approval, and issuance of a permit, unless otherwise accepted under R 325.11304.
(2) A permit-application shall be submitted with the plans and specifications, shall identify and summarize plans or
projects, and, if applicable, shall indicate the authorization of the designated agent for the public water supply.
(3) Both of the following shall be used, whenever applicable, when preparing plans and specifications:
(a) Recommended standards for water works, prepared by the Great Lakes Upper Mississippi board of state sanitary
engineers under R 325.10113.
(b) Suggested practices for waterworks design, construction, and operation for type | public water supplies, prepared by
the Michigan department of environmental quality, water bureau under R 325.10113.
