The complainant indicates they received a “Letter of Alert” in January 2015 regarding the detection of refrigerant and solvent contaminants in the Flint River. | just need to know if WRD staff are aware of any monitoring in the Flint River that could be associated with this, and if they might know where this “Letter of Alert” could be coming from. events Flint for one. There are probably several individual customers that chose to let their water run to prevent freezing. This may also be more prevalent in some small privately owned systems, such as manufactured housing where the risers are not well protected and smaller distribution lines are more common.
