RE: KWA SESC

I’ve been out of the office for a week. Violation letters were on my agenda before then. !am in process of writing violation notices for two sections of the project right now. | have a xxxEND_PAGE:deq03_b220_0337_0340_2 lot of concern that the contractors are barreling through with pipeline installation and not installing SESC measures where needed and not completing restoration in a timely manner. | met with our road commission engineers in mid - August, as they have taken a lot of complaints about road conditions. | wrote a violation notice for the section on Clear Lake Rd then. And the contractor immediately started working on the restoration issues. So | thought we were moving in the right direction. Now | am seeing my staff’s inspections for both sections/contractors with big problems. My staff have recently taken photos of areas where no SESC measures are installed on Clear Lake and King Mill Rds. 1’ll be recommending pipeline installation cease until SESC measures are installed where needed and restoration has caught up. I’ve not once heard from Spicer. --- Or seen a Spicer person on any site. FW: KWA SESC

Dorothy, My understanding is that the firm (Spicer) providing construction oversight of the KWA line has generally been satisfied with the implementation of SESC measures by the contractors. Does your office have concerns regarding the installation and maintenance of SESC measures on this project? Thanks. Chris xxxEND_PAGE:deq03_b220_0337_0340_3 P.S. We recently reshuffled responsibilities in our office and you will most likely be dealing with Carol Valor more than me down the road.
