RE: Contract for Water

Mayor, The state appropriation is being made to the DEQ. | have copied Director Wyant and his Chief Deputy Jim Sygo on this. We recommend a conference call with DEQ, Mott and the City to agree on payment procedures. It will be necessary to have a list of expenditure amounts for water and any other equipment, services and supplies that will total up to the $12,000,000 budget. Treasury wil! participate and help any way, but it is important DEQ , Mott and the City agree on the process. We can participate in a call today or Friday. Wayne

Contract for Water

Gentlemen, I have asked City Administrator Natasha Henderson to reach out to you at Treasury Wayne about the contract for Detoit water. The Mott Foundation has questions about payments and ensuring all parties are contributing to the monthly costs as well as how an escrow fund would work to ensure funds are solely for this purpose. Time is of the essence as you know and the City is prepared to do all things necessary for the water to begin flowing as quickly as possible as we have agreed. Thanks for your tremendous efforts on this and we look forward to finalizing the agreements hopefully today or tomorrow. Dayne Walling Mayor, City of Flint City Hall, 1101 S. Fwd: United Way of Genesee County Proposal

Gentlemen, we do desperately need this relief for our water customers. Our plan is to provide assistance to those with a record of payment who need a bridge to a sustainable payment plan. This helps the customers and their families and also keeps another paying customer on our system as we work to stabilize. Please do see what can be done for this to be a direct grant instead of waiting months and months and then restarting at the community foundation level. Anything you can do...please. Thanks, Dayne Date: Thu, Jun 25, 2015 at 1:37 PM
