Kris — Attached is the most recent version of our revised sampling for lead and copper compliance monitoring. This has been updated to no longer recommend pre-flushing of taps; rather it instructs residents/customers to use a kitchen or bathroom tap that was used the day before sampling and that has been idle for at least 6 hours. We have incorporated EPA’s suggestions and they have approved this version. Would you please share this document with community water supply district analysts so that they can provide any additional comments or constructive criticism. Comments need to be provided quickly, as the intention is to have this document available for any/all supplies to use for sampling beginning in January.
