RE: Director's visit to Flint

We stil haven't heard anything frorn Flint on this....the city is very undecided on the direction to procead and given their financial situation, this decision is even rnore difficult, i would not be surprised te see a city official (as part of the WTP visit} take the opportunity to pitch this concern ta the Director, Michael Prysby, PLE. RE: Director's visit to Flint

Liz. it may also be worth to stress the iraportance of the Flint WTP since the facility i¢ city’s only back-up source of drinking water in the event that the 72-inch pipeline frorn DWWSD is taken out of service for erergancy ranair. The WTP played in critical role in maintaining a potable supply of drinking water thus protecting public health for over 100,000 people during two pipeline outages in 2009. Michael Prysby, PLE. RE: Director's visit to Flint

You will be able to mention your recent successes in getting some of your small plants shut down and the transition to a more reliable water source as part of your event. It might be especially good to mention it in front of Brad Wurfel (as he has not responded to my earlier note on the subject). T know it is the Flint versus Genesee plant you are visiting, but it is still a good story. There are often also legislators in attendance and they should appreciate how you have worked to protect their constituents!
