Saturday Sampling Event (10/31/15)

Importance: High Hi everybody, Well it’s Thursday and | have nothing from GCHD so it looks like DEQ will be doing the sampling this weekend. We are going to do two schools this weekend (Brownell STEM Academy and Eisenhower Elementary). | think we should continue to have a DEQ staff person accompany DLARA staff during the evaluation and it would be very helpful to have DLARA staff present for the sampling. | believe that we should have two teams of three for the sampling consisting of two DEQ staff and one DLARA staff. The DLARA staff person can act as the timer and answer questions. We should have one team per school and sample the schools simultaneously. If Tony Sitko can arrange it, | would like to go back and do the 3 sets of 10 sequential samples at Freeman elementary. | will not be part of the sampling teams at Brownell or Eisenhower but | can go back and get the sequential samples and go back and forth to see how things are going. Saturday is Halloween so if anyone has plans and cannot attend please let me know so that we can find replacements. | want to stress that this is voluntary duty and | do not want to guilt anyone into this. If we cannot get two full teams together we may have to limit the sampling to just one school so we need to get a head count ASAP. Steve, Please work with Joe and Tony to ensure that we can access the schools. xxxEND_PAGE:deq15_b583_2078_2080_2 Everyone please chime in if you have any questions, comments or concerns. Thank you! Draft Data and Preliminary Observations and Opinions for Freeman Elementary

Importance: High | have attached the data for the sampling that was done at Freeman Elementary. These are Preliminary Results that have NOT gone through the entire data validation process. | do not expect any changes but | want to provide that clarification at the very beginning. Shelly and Linda please take a look as | would like to discuss the data at tomorrow’s conference call. Each sampling point has four samples (P1, P2, F01, F02) P1= 1S Preliminary Draw of 125 mls of water P2= 24 Preliminary Draw of 125 mls of water FO1= 3"4 Sample in the series. This sample was taken after a 30 second flush after P2 Fo2= 4th sample in the series. This sample was taken after a 2 minute flush after FO1. In general one would expect P1 samples to have the highest values and F02 samples to have the lowest values and overall this held very true. We can discuss further tomorrow. George George L.
