Thanks for the information.
Given these valve issues, would low pressure conditions less than 35 psi, be present in this portion of the system? If low
pressure conditions exist, a cross connection or siphon condition where leaks.or breaks are present may be
occurring. While longer transmission times may contribute to lower chlorine residual, the presence of coliform bacteria
suggests contaminants have entered the system and their regrowth and resurgence could be assisted by the presence of
a biofilm, tuberculation on the pipe walls, and/or phosphate coating. .
