Lansing Jackson Redistricting - 4/2015
- From
- Stephen Busch
Now that we have Kurt on board, there is a need to balance workloads between our 6 FTE engineer
positions within the Lansing and Jackson Districts. Attached is the redistricting plan moving forward
with a quasi-start date of April 1 (the fiscal year mid-point). We will begin making these changes in
SDWIS so that you can begin planning for visits and surveys for the 24 half of the FY. It is
recognized that survey and visit timelines will need to be smoothed back out to spread them over
the 3 year cycle and some surveys may need to be conducted earlier to make that happen.
While there are still some details to be worked out on things like file coordination, staff should plan
to close out or transfer work regarding community systems that will no longer be in their subdistrict
over the next couple weeks. | anticipate a lot of team effort will be needed the rest of the fiscal
year to bring each other up to speed.
We will continue to discuss logistical issues in the coming days.
