Brad, As requested, called Ron fonger. | explained that the US EPA has objected to our issuance of a nermit for the KWA ripeline and that we cannot issue a permit over thelr objection. {told him that we had requested additional infarrnation from the applicant a5 well, and that the applicant had submitted a response to bath letters. i noted that we received the applicant’s lengthy response on April 10 and that the EPA and USFWS had received their copies about a week later, # told Mr. Fonger that | was still reviewing the response and that the applicant had until June 5 to resaive the EPA’s concerns. We talked a litte about iwe erilangered species that could be affected by the project — northern Riffleshall (russel) and massasauga rattlesnake — and how those concerns could be addressed. He appreciated the infermation that | provided and indicated that he may contact me in the future.
