Liane: Thanks so much! Randy,

Randy — 1 made a few suggested tweaks to your note. Hope this works for you: ® The DEQ met with Flint officials last month. The City prepared an operational plan to reduce the formation of disinfection by-products. They have exceeded the standard which is primarily the result of using water from a different source, namely the Flint River. This is anticipated to be mitigated once the City begins using Lake Huron water from the Karagondi pipeline. A DEQ violation notice will go out next week which will require the city to issue a public notice. The DEQ Director plans to notify legislative members from the Flint area. In conclusion, the City has seen a reduction in the numbers because of operational changes and the cooler weather. The violation is expected to continue for a while because it takes time to resolve this problem. Liane Liane J. Date: Wednesday, June 05, 2013 8:50:00 AM Randall — | got your voicemail late yesterday, but was in a meeting most of the day and will be today also. Kristina Donaldson and Steve Busch are the best contacts to discuss DWSD’s issue(s) regarding sunk costs and how that does and/or does not relate to Flint. | will forward your message to them and ask them to return your call (probably best if they can do this together and hopefully today).
