Others on the call included individuals from the regional and national office for Wit, They had questions in regards to aur response an the Flint lead water situation. We explained what has been done up ta date on the situation for both the general population in Genesee County and for WIC clients In Genesee County. Cur message continues to he thai we are monitering the situation, we are werking with the local health cept to assure that clients receive water filters and bottled water. We explained what autreach efforts are being done by the LHD in terms of blood laad testing, accass to rasmurces, access to water fiters, educational materials, etc. They sermed pleased with our respense to the event. Saveral weeks back, a letter was send to the USDA from our congressional delegates regarding the availahility of Ready to Feed Forrnula. Nick received a letter from the USDA. We crafted a response from Nick to the USDA. All of these letters are attached. I've also attached another email we received today from Jacalyn Scheinder from the Senate, We have not yet responded to these emails as we want to assure we have a consistent message. Stan has informed the Regional WIC office that we are preparing responses, but will get back with thern on Monday. Fallowing the call, we received questions below from Senator Stabanow’s office. Ht anpnears that Senator Stabenow’s office would like to publicize the use of Ready to Feed Forrnula, which is not consistent with the current message. We want to make sure everyone is on the same page with the corisistent message to clents as far as obtaining water filters and bottled water.
