Steve, Flint Emergency Manager Ed Kurtz has submitted a resolution to join the Karegnondi Water Authority (KWA) to the State Treasurer, it was received late last week. As you are likely aware, under PA 436, the State Treasurer must approve contracts over $50,000, if not competitively bid. The Treasurer will thoroughly review the resolution before making a decision. No date has been set for the Treasurer to complete the review, but, he is fully aware of the timelines necessary to get approvals for the upcoming construction season, and will conduct the review accordingly. Good Morning, I'm looking for an interview or information about the state's opinion on the city of Flint taking part in the KWA pipeline project and the OWSO's opposition.
