Re: Preliminary and Deliberative: Sample Questions

George, We will continue to send the homeowners samples to the lab in batches. I am glad to hear that it works well on your end, and its actually easier on our end as well. We have seen a slight decline in the number of sample bottles requested from residents this week. As we go forward with the change to Detroit water, we will attempt to solicit samples from most of these residents in the next couple months, and would like to continue utilizing DEQ Lab services. We have always been very satisfied with the level of work and the communication we have received over the years working with the DEQ Lab team. We will get the information in regards to businesses requesting testing posted on our website, and to the employees fielding calls from the public. Thank you,

Preliminary and Deliberative: Sample Questions

Hi Mike, | have a question and a request for you. First, is it the City’s intent to continue to send homeowner samples to the Lab in batches? This is working exceptionally well and makes it much easier for the Lab to process Flint’s homeowner samples. If possible | would like to maintain this practice until the homeowner testing program is complete. You guys are doing a great job on this! The second item is more of a clarification. Businesses that wish to get their water tested should be directed to contact the DEQ Lab at (517) 335-8184. These businesses should get their sampling kits directly from the Lab and they will be responsible for the payment of these samples. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding these two items. I'll be there in Flint tomorrow so if needed, | can also discuss this with you in person. Thank you!
