KWA SESC

Hi Chris, | also heard from Joe Suma that there are stretches of the KWA line in Lapeer County that have not been stabilized and there are SESC concerns. | don’t know specifically where, but | thought | would give you a heads up. It sounds like the CEA isn’t getting compliance, for whatever reason. He mentioned that the County Road Commission may have some success with preventing them to continue in their ROW until they stabilize the areas they already impacted. I’m not sure how bad these sedimentation problems are, but I'll leave it to you to follow up as you deem appropriate. -Katie xxxEND_PAGE:deq03_b220_0337_0340_4

RE: KWA meeting request (new water line from Lake Huron to Flint)

Tell them to stey off my turf! Northern alternate route ali the way! Kidding... like the idea of a single application and one primary person on curend. it makes the most sense for you to be the primary, | wouldn't ohfect io you handling it outright. Pd Hike to take a look once we have more info. | could also provide comments for the portions that go through my area Hf you're more comfortable with thai. Along Fisher Road, the main resource impacis will be stream crossings. Wetland impacts prohably won't be large, and will likely he associated with the sirearns. Might need ta keep an eye cul for T&E mussels in the streams if they are proposing trenching. This sounds lke a fairy siendard ulliity project. H you want me to call in for the pre-anp, | can, but Tm not sure Vi have much more to offer the conversation ddeniify permanent and temporary impacts, restoration plan for teraperary impacts, method of installation order of preference .... Nothing terribly creative}. if you want io just arrange to hold the pre-epp yourself, just co me on the letier and keep me in the loon with anything out of the ordinary. Those are jusi my thoughts... -Katie Kathleen Fairchild Department of Environmental Quality Water Resources Division 27700 Donald Court Warren, Mi 48092 phone: 586-753-3864 fax: 586-751-4690 falrenlidkgpmichigan gov Mary Vanderiaan District Supervisor Lansing District xxxEND_PAGE:deq12_b176_0738_0740_1 Water Resources Division Department of Environmental Quality Lansing District Office 4th Floor North Tower Constitution Hall Lansing Desk: 517-335-4523
