Flint Water Town Hall Meeting Invitation

From
Michael Schram
Mr. Headen: Many Flint residents can no longer use their water service for basic tasks like drinking, cooking, and taking baths. Lead contamination has resulted in an emergency declaration. National Guard, law enforcement, community groups are all pitching in to deliver bottled water, lead testing kits, and water filters. How did we get here? What’s being done to address the immediate and long-term health and economic impact the Flint water crisis has had on our community? That will be the focus of a WEYI-TV NBC25 & University of Michigan-Flint Town Hall meeting. “Your Voice, Your Future: The Flint Water Crisis” will be broadcast live from the historic Northbank Center’s Grand Ballroom (432 N. Saginaw Street) in downtown Flint on Monday, February 29" at 7:00 p.m. The forum will give government, health care, environmentalists, community groups, emergency/disaster response officials, and others the opportunity to speak directly with residents directly affected by the water crisis. We hope the forum will provide people the latest on efforts to restore safe water service to Flint’s homeowners, business leaders, schools, and churches. We believe that you can offer a unique perspective and background on this issue. We would like to invite you to be part of our audience for this important discussion. Please let us know by Friday (February 12) if you are available to attend this Town Hall meeting. You can RSVP by e-mailing [email protected]. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the NBC25-FOX66 newsroom at (810} 687-9600. All the best, Mike Schram News Director xxxEND_PAGE:treasury01_b38_6783_6976_141 Stanton, Terry A.
