Good evening Tom, Normally when DEQ sends a wire, we work with our MDOT Accounting Service Center (ASC) to process. Obviously this scenario is a tad different from the normal practice but it is my understanding from the conversation below, that Treasury is processing the payment on our behalf. Amount- Here is the paragraph you request, please feel free to edit at will: To provide audit support for the outgoing payment to the City of Flint, the DEQ requires a complete electronic copy of the monthly invoice/statement it receives from the Detroit Water and Sewage Department (DWSD) or its successor. That invoice/statement must be verified by a City of Flint employee confirming the quantity of water used (against the cities own metering devices), rate being applied with regards to the agreed upon contract with DWSD and total amount of invoice/statement. Any challenges to the invoice received from the DWSD, either by a City of Flint or DEQ employee, shall be the responsibility of the City of Flint. Importance: High | just received a call from Randy Bye, Treasury, who said Wayne Workman asked him to call us about scheduling this conference call. | can work on scheduling it but need to know who from DEQ needs to participate. In addition, Randy-doesn’t know who from Mott néeds to participate and wondered if Jim knows.
