Would suggest the following edits...
Did the DEQ provide any advice to the emergency manager about the switch from
DWSD?
The state was opposed to Flint leaving DWSD — not because of concerns about water quality, but because at the
time the city of Detroit was working through its bankruptcy and the state felt the move would incur more
expenses for both Detroit and Flint. The the-emergency manager, mayor and city council approved the move to
KWA and the state approved the transition. Following the city's decision to move to KWA, DWSD canceled
flints contract effective April of 2014. The city faced limited options for its water source following the
cancellation of its DWSD contract.
Looks great. Only one edit from me. Take out "there is no move to do so" in first question. City has
approached Great Lakes Water authority.
