Seattle Schools Intertox Report.pdf Ms. Shekter, Thank you for taking time to talk with me this afternoon. You are familiar with the materials on schools that EPA and AWWA developed in 2005 and subsequently so | have not attached copies here. As | was reviewing my files following our conversation, | found the attached memo from Ontario that | thought you might find interesting. We discussed pervious events in Seattle and the WSSC service area. | found the attached report from Intertox; the most useful information for you in this report is probably the observed occurrence data during the investigation in Seattle Public Schools. The following are some links that are still available regarding these two events: Seattle (school monitoring program) (related effort found arsenic) http://www. (example media coverage) WSSCG | did not find any substantial record at this point of school event in Maryland. Unfortunately the key staff at WSSC have also moved on since this event occurred. | also mentioned the Massachusetts provision for monitoring in schools. Your best point of contact, at least to start with at MADEP, is: Yvette DePeiza One Winter Street Boston, MA 02108 617-292-5857 Yvette gave a presentation in 2006 that outlines the scope of MADEP efforts - . This slide show does not go to their LCR compliance monitoring provisions. The current materials from their program are available at water.html#8 . Hope the above is helpful. Thank you again for your time today. Feel free to contact me if you think | might be of assistance.
