We cauid do nothing and wait 10-20 years and see the impact of lead poisoning, or we can try to defy the odds and bulld an innovative mociel public health program that buffers the exposure. We have created something called FLINT - Flint Lead iNNovation Team - that is trying to de just that. Drawing on the burgeoning science of toxic stress and developmental neuroscience, we hope to use short term and long term interventions that can buitd resilience in our kids.
