Thank you for responding to my review request; I appreciate your and your agency’s commitment to conduct an audit of
MDEQ’s implementation of the Safe Drinking Water Act. I look forward to reading the audit report once it is completed.
These are important steps toward ensuring accountability and preventing another disaster like this from happening ever
again.
However, I would like to reiterate my request that all evidence gathered during the course of the audit be made public,
regardless of the findings of the audit. Michigan residents, and especially the residents of Flint, deserve to know whether
they should trust MDEQ.
