FW: "up to 20% lead" from water is not correct, or consistent with Federal Register mandated language

All - One of our stakeholders has identified inaccurate information on the EPA web site (see below). The study that supports the 1991 rule is still the scientific basis for the estimate of 20% or more contribution from drinking water of total lead exposure. We need to ensure that the information on the agency's web site and in materials is correct. We've identified two web sites at HQ that we are revising. I need your assistance in identifying and revising the incorrect information in other places. 1) EPA web sites that incorrectly state "up to 20%" 2) Brochures, factsheets, etc that incorrectly state "up to 20%" Please complete corrections to web sites as soon as possible. HESUP000026.topic> is found in a wide range of the foods we eat, including red meat, shellfish, nuts and many fruits and vegetables, as well as in many vitamin supplements. It also leaches from copper pipes into the water we drink.
