Dennis, Just an update. Health Endowment Fund board members have unanimously indicated that they will be approving the Flint Community Foundation’s request of $250,000 for the purchase of water filters. We have sent a letter of intent to the community foundation and United Way of Genesee County. Our letter will enable the community foundation to release funds for water filters with the assurance that we will be making a $250,000 grant later this year. Cc Bs Jamie, Thank you for sending the proposal from the United Way of Genesee County to the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, requesting a $500,000 grant to assist City of Flint residents with their water bills. Thank you, too, for sharing letters of support from Flint community leaders. I will be sharing the proposal with the MHEF Grantmaking Committee, which is currently preparing the Fund's 2015 grants program. I anticipate that in late July, we will be announcing a program and accepting applications until mid-September. Grants will be awarded in December and early next year. As we discussed, the Grants Committee is considering inviting community foundations to identify the most pressing health and wellness issues in their regions and submit proposals to the MHEF. If our board supports this approach, the best opportunity to seek a $500,000 grant will be through your local community foundation. After the committee has prepared its program recommendation for approval by the MHEF board, I will be in touch with you about next steps.
