RE: 2014 lead data

Patti, i don’t have much further to add at this point, beyond what | showed you yesterday fooking at actual specimen dates and DOBs—i.e., f think the “Just Dates” file shows that my age calculations are correct. Not knowing SAS, | don’t know how to adjust the cade to adjust the SAS date calculations, but | think that’s what needs to be done. lll be happy to heip, if there is anything | can do. We do seem to be calculating the same number of individuals (differed by 1), and we're pulling zip code fram the same field, so f think it boils down to how the age is calculated. RE: 2014 lead data

Bob, tran the data for 2014 and | believe that the differences are due ta rounding, though | haven’t quantified them yet. ’'m copying Yan because she may have a way to look at this quicker, faster and easier than us manually reviewing records. Yan, Bob and | analyzed 2014 by zipcode for the state and got cifferent numbers. We have been asked to find out why. The Just Dates excel file is fram Bab- where he looked at individual level data to try to figure cut if the difference could be due to the way we are categorizing age. (You could create SAS dataset, which may make it easier to analyze. ©) Documenting the SAS cede is my atternpt to quantify each step by age group. Lead 2014 by zip is my analysis with SAS 2014 zips is Bob’s analysis Bob has 143,123 for 2014 and | have 141,355 for children less than 6 years. Yan, can you compare Bob's Just dates to the 2014 analytic file we created in SAS. Also I see results that have missing for sample type so we are including them ~—i thought this might be a difference too. i suspect it has to do with INTCK —do you know how it handles rounding? xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0443_1788_1797_04 001792 Thanks, Patti

RE: Lead

xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0427_1617_1620_2 001619 Hi, Patti, Please find the attached tables and SAS codes for the updated lead data fram 2010 to 12/04/2015! also cleaned and annotated our SAS code from 2010 to 2015 and saved it in the folder T:\MCH Vital Records Data\Genesee Lead\Lead Dedup to Calendar year. If you have any question, please let me know! Thanks, Yan

Lead

Lead data for the year to date (based on specimen date) are in the file named Lead_1.1.15_12.4.15_spec date in this folder T:\MCH Vital Records Data\Genesee Lead\Access data from biquery They would like it deduplicated by year (for the state) and reported by quarter, for Michigan, Genesee and Flint. Highest test only. | created this folder T:\MCH Vital Records Data\Genesee Lead\Lead Dedup to Calendar year to keep the code and results and just the word document is fine. The word document says ‘state 2015, but it includes Genesee and Flint too. | did another query by report date for 12/4/2015 and found that the earliest specimen date was sometime in August 2015, so we don’t’ need to rerun the earlier years. xxxEND_PAGE:dhhs02_b0427_1617_1620_3 001620 Thanks so much for doing this, let me know if you have any questions. Also we will need prepare the codes that we use (annotate, clean if needed) to hand this off to Environmental Health. Yet another Flint request.

HI Yan, We were asked to provide the number of children < 6 years of age, tested and number >= 5 EBLL for Flint (same zip codes as before) for the time period Jan 1, 2013 through Dec 31, 2013. Deduplicated to child Id, retaining highest test. Does that make sense? They need it ASAP. Thank you and let me know if any questions.
